Terms of Service

1. Bookings & payment

• All stays are paid in full, upfront, via Stripe's secure checkout (card, Apple Pay or Google Pay).
• Your reservation is confirmed once payment is completed and, where required, accepted by the property owner.
• Each listing may specify a minimum number of nights and check-in day restrictions, shown before you pay.

2. Free cancellation

You may cancel free of charge within 24 hours of your booking being confirmed. After that window, and in all cases after check-in, refunds are at the property owner's discretion.

3. Guest verification

Every booking requires identity verification (passport, ID card or driver's license) plus your date of birth and travel purpose, as required for holiday rental registration. You confirm the documents you provide are genuine and your own.

4. House rules

• Respect the property, its furnishings and neighbours — no parties or disturbing behaviour.
• Check-in and check-out times for each stay are shown on the listing; late arrivals should be communicated in advance.
• Smoking is only allowed where a listing permits it; violations may result in charges.
• You are liable for damage caused beyond normal wear and tear during your stay.

5. Liability

Merca Stays is a booking platform connecting guests with property owners. We are not liable for events during your stay that are under the owner's or your own control. Our maximum liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the booking in question.
